I was talking with a friend the other day, and we got on the topic of the unknown—that fear that creeps in when you don’t know what’s coming, when you can’t control the outcome, when stepping forward feels like stepping into darkness. And I was like… man, we’ve all been there.
Because from the time we’re born, this world teaches us to know. To be sure. To get it right. We’re praised for having the answers, not for asking the questions. And over time, that conditioning hardens into fear. Especially the fear of fucking up.
But what if that fear is just a signal that something sacred is trying to wake back up inside you?
Seeing is Believing vs. Believing is Seeing
We’re taught that seeing is believing. That you gotta see it before you trust it. You need the proof, the evidence, the outcome, then you believe. But the truth is, that mindset limits you. It keeps you boxed in. Because some of the deepest transformations don’t happen because you saw something first—they happen because you believed before anything made sense. And that belief shaped your reality.
Seeing is believing vs. Believing is seeing.
One mindset waits for permission. The other creates new worlds.
These two may look like mirror images, but the consequences they bring? Night and day.
The Conditioning of Certainty
From school to religion to relationships, most of us were raised in systems that reward control and punish uncertainty. You get the gold star for doing it “right.” You get in trouble for coloring outside the lines. You learn quickly that mistakes equal punishment. That taking risks isn’t safe. That failure means shame.
But here’s the catch—when you're conditioned to fear failure, you’re really being taught to fear freedom.
Because what is freedom if not the ability to explore, evolve, experiment… and yes, even fall?
The Scientist is Your Natural Form

We forget this, but we came here experimental. Like, for real.
As little kids, we didn’t need permission to explore—we just did. We were raw, open, curious. You see a bag of flour? You dump it out just to feel it between your fingers. You see a white wall? You grab a crayon and go to work. You’re fascinated by bugs—you pick them up, not worrying if they bite. You want to understand the electrical socket? You stick something in it (and maybe get zapped), but that moment teaches you.
And it wasn’t because we were being “bad.” It was because we were in our natural form.
We were scientists.
Learning by doing.
Growing through experience.
And most of all, unafraid to fuck up.
Our parents—out of love—had to build safety around that. “Don’t touch that,” “That’s dangerous,” “Stop playing with that.” And while it was necessary, it slowly chipped away at that bold inner explorer.
Some of us learn by listening—others need to touch the stove for themselves. And neither path is wrong.
But let’s be honest: the ones who need to see for themselves? They get labeled “hard-headed.” When in reality, they’re just soul-deep learners. They don’t want secondhand truth. They want their own revelation. Their own knowing.
Healing the Inner Critic by Reclaiming the Inner Child
We came here curious.
We came here brave.
We came here to play.
As children, we didn’t fear the unknown—we explored it. We stuck our fingers in flowerpots, picked up bugs, drew on walls without asking, and yes—sometimes we even poked things into electrical sockets. Not because we were being “bad”—but because we were learning. That’s our natural state: exploration.
Children are born scientists.
They experiment. They observe. They get their hands dirty.
They don’t fear failure, because it hasn’t been introduced to them yet as something shameful.
But over time, that wild curiosity got corralled.
We were told, “No!” or “Don’t do that!”—not because our parents didn’t love us, but because they were trying to keep us safe. That’s real.
But in the process, many of us internalized a dangerous belief:
That curiosity is reckless.
That mistakes are punishable.
That we shouldn’t try unless we know we’ll get it right.
That part of you—the one who was curious, who played, who tried and didn’t care about being perfect? That part is still in there. Still alive.
It just got buried under years of criticism, pressure, shame, and perfectionism.
And that’s where the inner critic was born.
Perfectionism isn’t power—it’s protection.
It’s the voice that says:
“Don’t mess up or they won’t love you.”
“Be perfect or you’ll be punished.”
“Don’t try unless you can be sure.”
But perfectionism chokes out growth.
It traps you in a loop of overthinking, hesitation, and self-sabotage.
You’re not bad at life—
you’ve just been at war with the very part of you that knows how to live it.
The key to healing isn’t silencing the critic by force.
It’s holding your inner child close and saying:
“It’s safe to explore again.”
Because how do you know what works and what doesn’t… if you don’t try?
How can you discover your own truth if you never touch the stove for yourself?
Some people learn by hearing. Others learn by doing.
Both are valid.
But the system only rewards one.
And the other?
The ones who learn by touching, trying, messing up, and coming back stronger?
They’re often labeled “hard-headed”—
when really, they’re just hard-coded for evolution through experience.
So to reclaim your power…
You have to reclaim your inner child.
The one who wasn’t afraid to mess up.
The one who believed they could try, fall—
and rise again.
Transmuting Fear into Freedom: Becoming the Scientist Again
So now the question is—how do you actually do it?
How do you move from frozen to free? From “What if I mess up?” to “What if this is the breakthrough I’ve been waiting for?”
Here’s the truth:
Fear doesn’t go away because you think harder. It dissolves because you do differently.
You gotta reclaim that inner scientist by moving. By trying. By failing forward. And most of all, by shifting your inner narrative.
“Stop asking if you can do it and DO it. Sell understanding after.
The subconscious mind is constantly creating your reality.
Give your subconscious a better reality! Change your mind and your attitude. As a magician and a SCIENTIST, you have to change the core of your thinking.
Give up the fear. Give up that someone or something is always out to get yo ass!Danger is real. Fear is an ILLUSION. It is only an idea of a future that has never gotten here.”

Whew.
Fear is a program. A parasite. And once you stop feeding it, it dies.
Like Susan Jeffers said in her book Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway:
“Every time you take a step into the unknown, you experience fear… The fear is part of the package.”
So don’t wait for fear to disappear. Walk with it. Learn from it. Let it ride in the backseat, but don’t ever let it drive.
Here Are Some Ways to Start Rewiring That Fear
1. Do it before you're ready.
Start small. Send the email. Post the blog. Make the product. Host the class. You don’t need full understanding before the action. Understanding often shows up after you leap.
2. Talk to your inner child.
Close your eyes and ask: What would 5-year-old me be excited to try today? Then let them lead. Let them draw outside the lines. Let them mess up and giggle about it.
3. Normalize experimentation.
Start calling it an experiment, not a “risk” or “mistake.”
Try saying:
“I’m going to test this out.”
“Let’s see what happens.”
“I wonder what I’ll learn from this.”
Language shapes your reality. Make it playful.
4. Replace “What if it goes wrong?” with “What if it goes right?”
Train your brain to expect insight, not disaster. You’ll be surprised how quickly your nervous system follows.
5. Celebrate the fact that you showed up.
Not the outcome. Not the perfection. Just the fact that you showed up for yourself. That’s power. That’s progress. That’s proof that the scientist in you is waking back up.
The Closing Call to Autonomy: You Are the Alchemist Now
So here’s the real invitation—
Not just to read this… but to live it.
To stop waiting until you're "ready."
To stop outsourcing your power to perfection, permission, or the illusion of control.
You don’t have to know how it ends.
You just need to trust who you are while you begin.
You are the scientist now. The magician. The alchemist.
You are the one who gets to gather the ingredients of your experience, stir them in the cauldron of your spirit, and create something no one has ever seen before.
This is autonomy:
When you stop letting fear dictate your moves.
When you no longer need approval to experiment.
When you reclaim your right to get it “wrong” because you know that’s how you get it real.
The system doesn’t teach us that. But your soul always knew it.
So if you’ve been waiting—this is your sign.
If you’ve been doubting—this is your nudge.
If you’ve been holding back—this is your call.
Go be messy. Go be curious. Go be bold.
Take the class. End the cycle. Say what needs to be said. Start the thing. Walk through the unknown with your inner scientist leading the way.
There’s no such thing as failure here.
There’s only freedom.
And you deserve to taste it.
